Terms & Conditions
BOX & BIN CO.
Rental Agreement & Terms
By renting bins or other equipment from Box & Bin Co. (“Box & Bin Co.,” “we,” or “us”), the customer (“Renter”) agrees to the following terms.
1. Rental Period
The rental period begins on the scheduled delivery date and ends on the scheduled pickup date shown in the Renter’s reservation.
All bins and other rental equipment remain the property of Box & Bin Co. at all times.
2. Delivery & Pickup
Box & Bin Co. will deliver and pick up rental equipment at the address provided by the Renter.
The Renter is responsible for providing a safe and reasonably accessible location for delivery and pickup.
On the scheduled pickup date, all bins and rental equipment must be completely emptied, reasonably clean, accessible, and ready for pickup.
3. Care & Use of Rental Bins
The Renter agrees to use reasonable care while the bins and other rental equipment are in their possession.
Normal scratches, scuffs, and wear associated with ordinary moving and storage are expected and will not result in additional charges.
Bins may not be intentionally altered, painted, drilled, cut, permanently marked, or used to store hazardous, illegal, corrosive, or otherwise unsafe materials.
4. Lost, Stolen, Unreturned or Heavily Damaged Bins
The Renter is responsible for all rental equipment from the time it is delivered until it is returned to Box & Bin Co.
Any bin that is lost, stolen, not returned, or damaged beyond reasonable reuse will be subject to a $25 replacement fee per bin.
Normal wear and tear does not constitute damage.
5. Late Returns, Extensions & Failed Pickups
All rental equipment must be emptied, accessible, and available on the originally scheduled pickup date.
If additional time is needed, the Renter must contact Box & Bin Co. before the scheduled pickup date to request an extension. Extensions must be approved by Box & Bin Co., are subject to availability, and may result in additional rental charges.
If Box & Bin Co. arrives for a scheduled pickup and the bins are not available, emptied, or reasonably accessible, the Renter may be charged a $25 failed-pickup fee per each additional pickup attempt.
Bins that remain overdue without an approved extension may be subject to additional rental charges.
Bins that are not returned may ultimately be considered unreturned and subject to the $25-per-bin replacement fee described in this agreement.
6. Customer’s Personal Property
Box & Bin Co. provides rental bins and related rental equipment only.
Box & Bin Co. does not provide packing, loading, unloading, moving, transportation, or storage services and does not take possession of the Renter’s personal belongings.
The Renter is solely responsible for packing, handling, transporting, storing, and protecting all bins and their belongings.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Box & Bin Co. is not responsible for loss of or damage to personal property placed inside, stored in, or transported using the rental equipment.
7. Safe Use, Weight Limit & Assumption of Risk
Each rental bin has a maximum weight capacity of 75 pounds. The Renter agrees not to load any bin in excess of 75 pounds.
The Renter is responsible for safely packing, lifting, carrying, stacking, loading, unloading, and transporting the rental bins and their contents.
The Renter should not attempt to lift or move a bin that is too heavy for them to safely handle, regardless of whether the bin is within the 75-pound maximum capacity.
The Renter acknowledges that lifting, carrying, moving, and stacking bins involves inherent risks, including falls, strains, sprains, back injuries, and other bodily injury.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Renter assumes the risks associated with their use and handling of the rental equipment and agrees that Box & Bin Co. will not be responsible for injuries resulting from the Renter’s packing, lifting, carrying, stacking, loading, unloading, transporting, or otherwise handling the rental equipment.
Nothing in this agreement is intended to waive or limit liability that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.
8. Additional Charges
The Renter agrees to pay applicable charges resulting from:
Additional rental time or approved extensions
Failed pickup attempts
Lost stolen, or unreturned equipment
Equipment damaged beyond reasonable reuse
Replacement charges for lost, stolen, unreturned, or heavily damaged bins are $25 per bin.
A failed pickup may result in a $25 failed-pickup fee, per pick up attempt.
9. Cancellations & Refunds
Reservations canceled at least 48 hours before the scheduled delivery date and time are eligible for a full refund.
Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled delivery date and time are subject to a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the rental charge.
Once the rental equipment has been delivered, rental charges are non-refundable.
10. Acceptance of Agreement
By electronically signing or accepting this agreement and completing a reservation, the Renter acknowledges that they have read, understand, and agree to these Rental Agreement & Terms.
The Renter specifically acknowledges the 48 hr cancellation policy, 75-pound maximum weight capacity, $25 replacement fee per bin, and $25 failed-pickup fee.
